Before they were married, Sharon and Roger Douglas used to go on runs together by the river in Putney. In one of those lets-have-a-pit-stop moments, they noticed a rather special mews house overlooking the water bordering onto the park. Sharon remembers remarking, ‘wouldn't that be the perfect house for us'’ By extraordinary coincidence a few months later, the house came on to the market, and as Sharon says; ‘it is in a perfect location, a quiet relatively modern mews development, surrounded by trees and water. The sense of space overlooking the river and the park is uniquely special for London. Coming from Australia this meant a lot to me. I fell in love with the pretty façade and long thin floor to ceiling windows. When we discovered there was room to expand, that clinched it for us.’
